 Incorporating Formula 1-proven technical features and kart track-specific innovations, the new Tech-1 KZ shoe has undergone a significant evolution to continue to deliver exceptional karting performance. New asymmetrical lacing on the vamp and Alpinestars’ unique wire-filament closure system offer lightweight, precise support and an anatomical forefoot profile, while new external reinforcements on the heel and rounded ankle provide high levels of protection and performance. Minimal stitching, a new ultra-thin F1-specification grip sole compound and new strategically placed laser-cut perforation zones make the Tech-1 KZ shoe one of the most advanced shoes in karting.
 
• Advanced seamless thermo-welded construction consists of an ultra-thin PU film and 3D mesh to provide extremely lightweight performance and maximum foot sensitivity thanks to the "sock-like" effect, with no pressure points on the foot for excellent comfort and fit.
 • The new, sleek shoe profile follows the anatomy of the foot and ensures great fit and performance.
 • Laser air inlets and perforations on the upper, with 3D mesh on the tongue that offer excellent breathability and comfort.

 • Alpinestars lacing closure system constructed from an advanced polymer resin ensures quick, precise and secure closure of the shoe. 
• The dual asymmetric closure system incorporates an adjustable ultra-thin Velcro grip strap plus aramid speed upper laces. The system integrates Alpinestars’ exclusively developed wire closure system, which strategically wraps the foot to provide optimal support and structure and offers durability, precise fit and secure closure.

 • Soft microfiber collar is cut lower in the rear to allow for greater Achilles comfort and improved range of motion.

• Alpinestars innovative toe counter for maximum performance: An ergonomic polypropylene heel counter provides in-shoe support and stability, while a flatter forefoot with die-cut ribbing provides increased feel on the pedals.
