Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved head and neck restraints on the market that protect against frontal, side and lateral impacts. Designed to be easily ejected from the car without risk of entrapment in other equipment, the device rests on the back/shoulders, not the chest or collarbone as in older HANS-type devices. Plus, they offer you maximum comfort and maneuverability.

The Hybrid Sport is lighter, weighing 20% ​​less than the larger helmets including hardware; and the DuPont carbon/polymer construction is modern with defined wings to improve harness retention. The sliding straps and multi-strap system improve lateral and side range of motion and field of vision. The Hybrid Sport is SFI 38.1 and FIA certified.

The Hybrid Sport is supplied ready to accept existing FIA Hans clips or can be specified with optional M61 quick release anchors/anchors. These M61 anchors are fitted in place of the original Hans posts.

HANS – Clips – These clips allow the rider to use the hybrid device with helmets equipped with HANS anchors already installed (or the correct approval for “retro-fit” type anchors). Approved for helmets standard FIA 8858-2002 / FIA 8858-2010 or higher.

M61 - Quick Release - These clips allow the rider to release the retainer by simply pulling the cable attached to the helmet. Homologated for standard helmets or higher FIA 8858-2010. Ideal for rallies where headsets may be turned on and off more frequently (i.e. between stages).
